An Angelite was awarded as one of the 2017 Ten Outstanding Human Resource Management Students of the Philippines (TOHRS) during the 7th Annual HR Students' International Convention and HR Educators’ Conference on March 3, 2017 at Venus Park View Hotel, Baguio City.

Tom Harvey S. Pamintuan, a 4th year BSBA major in Human Resource Management and the current Chairman of the CSC-SBA, was named as one of the Ten Outstanding Human Resource Students of the country by the Human Resources Educator’s Association of the Philippines, Inc. (HREAP) along with students from Ateneo de Davao University, Southville International School and Colleges, Far Eastern University, Polytechnic University of the Philippines, South Philippine Adventist College, Bicol University and De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde.

Pamintuan, who exemplifies the epitome of a true leader with numerous awards, seminars and leadership trainings under his belt, stated that he wants this recognition to inspire everyone most especially the Business Management students as he saw how much they could offer if they just come out of their shells. He received a plaque of recognition as well as priority access to various HR training and mentoring program of the HREAP.

The criteria HREAP used for the selection process were 50% Academic Performance, 30% Leadership skills and 20% Community Service. The ten (10) selected HR students were recognized at the convention held on March 2-4 at the Venus Parkview Hotel, Burnham Park, Baguio City and attended a training program sponsored by the HREAP’s partner organizations with the theme, "MILLENNIALS: Bridging the Gap for the Next Generation of HR Leaders." As a reward, Pamintuan will attend a ten day leadership training to be held in Singapore in April of this year.
