The Department of Business Management of the School of Business and Accountancy (SBA-BM) has partnered with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), the Department of Science and Technology (DOST), and the National Economic Development Authority (NEDA) for its Enterprise Development and Socio-Economic Research Projects which were launched on December 9, 2016 at Holy Angel University.

The main purpose of the SBA-DTI-DOST Enterprise Development Project is to conduct research and development activities to propel the business viability, operational capability and capacity of the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Pampanga. The faculty and student researchers are to develop strategic and business plans for priority MSMEs. On the other hand, the SBA-NEDA Socio-Economic Research Project aims to foster collaboration between the government and the higher educational institutions by conducting researches which will give rise to a better planning environment to accelerate growth and development in Central Luzon.

During the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing, Dr. Luis Maria R. Calingo, University President, said that HAU intends to accelerate the conduct of business and socioeconomic researches to propel the advancement of economic growth and development within the region in response to its strategic objective of being an authentic catalyst for countryside development. Dr. Joan Reyes, SBA Dean, assured that HAU supports the conduct of research of DTI-Pampanga and DOST-Pampanga for the development of MSMEs as a way to serve the community at large.

The MOA signing was attended by NEDA RO3 Assistant Director Agustin C. Mendoza, DTI-Pampanga Director Elenita R. Ordonio, DOST-Pampanga Director Mary Michelle M. Quiambao, BM Chairperson Rio G. Yutuc, Accountancy Chairperson Albert G. Morales, faculty members and SBA students.
