HAU Faculty named as one of CHED’s new 2016 ISA Assessors

Last June 16-17, 2016, the Commission on Higher Education completed its National Assessor's Workshop for Institutional Sustainability Assessment ( ISA) which started last Dec 7, 2015 ( fort part I). The Holy Angel University got one slot from among the 75 academics invited from the entire Philippines and who successfully finished a two-part National Training Workshop.

Dr. Arturo M.I. Figueroa, a faculty from the Graduate School of Engineering and Information Technology was one of the three (3) faculty representing Region III that was endorsed by CHED Regional Office III upon the nomination of HAU President. The new batch join the pool of CHED's assessors that will be deployed to HEIs applying for Institutional Sustainability Assessment. CHED’s ISA framework consists of five key result areas within which judgments are made about the performance of institutions. These are governance and management, quality of teaching and learning, quality of professional exposure/research/and creative works, support for students, and relations with the community. ISA scores are complement to other criteria for Institutional Sustainability and Enhancement which include institutional accreditation and international institutional certification.
