HAU joins in UNESCO-APNIEVE Philippines 15th National Convention

Holy Angel University is now a member of UNESCO-Asia-Pacific Network for International Education and Values Education (UNESCO-APNIEVE) Philippines. HAU's institutional membership was awarded last April 16 during UNESCO APNIEVE's 15th National Convention held at the First Asia Institute of Technology and Humanities (FAITH) in Tanauan, Batangas withthis year’s theme: "Forming Citizens in an Interconnected World".

HAU now joins the growing number of UNESCO-APNIEVE Philippines' affiliate schools lead by Miriam College and Philippine Normal University in promoting values in education for peace, human rights, democratic citizenship and sustainable development in the country.

During the parallel sessions, Mr. Arlan dela Cruz, Assistant Professor and HAU CASEd Chairperson of the Department of Social Sciences and Philosophy, was one of the resource speakers for his paper entitled, "Bringing Out the Gandhi in Every Preservice Teacher: Peace Education Integration in the Practice Teaching of HAU, Angeles City, Pampanga". Incidentally, Mr. Dela Cruz was also elected as one of the UNESCO APNIEVE Philippines Regional Coordinators for Region 3 during the last day of the convention.
