Holy Angel University opened its doors to a Japanese delegation led by Mr. Shotaro Mimura, the mayor of Oirase, Aomori, Japan and Mr. Yosihiro Tomabechi, chairman of Seiyu-kai, a special nursing care facility, on January 24, 2015.

Acting University President Engr. Geromin T. Nepomuceno, Jr. led HAU administrators in receiving the delegation and in the discussions regarding the group’s interest in linking with the University for manpower, socio-civic, cultural, and other cooperative agreements.

The other delegation members were Mr. Yoshiyuki Tomabechi and Ms. Naoko Kashiwazaki, president and care manager, respectively, of Seiyu-Kai. They were accompanied by interpretersMs. Au Tarenio, Ms. Desiree B. Valiar, and Ms. Mariah Alyssa Tarenio.

The visitors toured the campus and were treated to cultural numbers by the HAU Performing Arts. In turn, Mayor Mimura gamely took to the microphone to sing Japanese songs, much to the delight of the audience. A lunch reception in honor of the guests concluded the brief visit.
