Comm Alumnus to compete at the Cannes Young Lions 2022

Marcelo Batac-Lacap III is set to compete for the Cannes Young Lions, comparable to the Oscars in the creative industry. Lacap bagged the first-place finish in the Google Creative Works and 4As (Association of Accredited Advertising Agencies of the Philippines) for the Google Jam for Good 2 competition, qualifying as one of the country representatives in the Cannes Young Lions competition in June 2022.
Lacap and his partner Ice Reyes bested 90 young creatives and underwent a month-long digital program under Google Philippines. Of the top 15, Lacap and Reyes were declared as winners.
Lacap is a Communication Arts major in Advertising and Public Relations graduate at HAU in 2014. As a former academic scholar and working student determination had been ingrained into his system. Among his recognitions in college are: Philippine Student Quill Awards, Kapampangan Cultural Award for the film Lumput: Fishnet and Talapangabus: The Redeemer.
A former Junior Copywriter for Pasig-based IdeasXMachina Advertising and Publicis JimenezBasic, Lacap now works at NuWorks Interactive Labs, Inc. as an Associate Creative Director.
