SHTM hailed 5th Champion in UFTE’s Tourism Skills Olympics

Holy Angel University’s School of Hospitality and Tourism Management (SHTM) was awarded 5th Overall Champion in the annual Tourism Skills Olympics held last February 28 and March 1, 2019, at the Trinity University of Asia, Quezon City. The event, organized by the Union of Filipino Tourism Educators (UFTE) is an annual competition where tourism students representing different schools and universities compete on several categories: local tour guiding, international tour guiding, local tour package proposal, international tour package proposal, Kasuotang Pinoy (male and female), poster-making, quiz bee, among others.

Other awards won by SHTM include: 1st Runner-up for Kasuotang Pinoy (male) was Gabrielle Gaviola, coached by Prof. Vella Villar; and 5th Place for International Tour Package Proposal participated by Chantal Vargas and Hiroshi Inamori, coached by Ms. Princess Ann Anunciacion. Other SHTM student participants were Marilyn Carreon, Dwayne Cabauatan, Kheen Turla, Princess Rose Faigmanie, Mae Angelie Tan, Monique Noe, Chloe Lacsina, Francis Ian Garcia, Angela Pulupot, Catrina Beatriz Quijana, Joanna Marie Zacarias, Levy Manalastas, Judamica Ella De Mesa, Tristan Angelo Lim, and Kate Princess Gaddi, coached by Prof. Ardee Domingo, Prof, Mervyn Maico Aldana, and Prof. Felipe Pablo IV.
