HAU-SHTM’s Kaantabay sa Nutrisyon at Kalusugan Project for the Abelardo G. Tinio Elementary School Commences

The signing of Terms of Reference (TOR) between the School of Hospitality and Tourism Management (SHTM), represented by its CSCB representatives Ms. Bernadette T. Aguas and Ms. Heide P. Sioteco and the Abelardo G. Tinio Elementary School (AGTES), led by the school principal, Ms. Esperanza G. Nabong to formalize the forged partnership between the two parties led to the commencement of the Kaantabay sa Nutrisyon at Kalusugan Project on October 7, 2022.  

 

An orientation was also conducted among parents and teachers to acquaint them with the different activities and programs to be offered under the partnership, some of which include:  values formation session in partnership with the Department of Christian Living Education (CLE) and the Character Education Partnership (CEP) Desk, livelihood skills training, Bigay-Puso outreach activity, feeding program, and wellness sessions or mental health activities.

 

In the same event, a values formation talk was delivered among the teachers and parents together with the principal of AGTES courtesy of the CLE Department and the CEP Desk.  Ms. Rowena Sibal, a CLE faculty member, served as the resource speaker on the said talk dubbed as “Strengthening Home-School Partnership on Values Formation”.  She was assisted by her co-facilitators Ms. Rowena D. Cabigting of OCES, Ms. Maylin Y. Bayza of CLE, and Ms. Aguas, and Ms. Sioteco of SHTM.  The talk revolved around the importance of understanding the roles of and fostering a partnership among the stakeholders and the school for the holistic well-being of the children.
