SBA Students Top International Business Case Competition

Business Consulting Group Team APEX from the Department of Accountancy and Department of Business Management of the School of Business and Accountancy (SBA) topped First Place in CapSource GENUINO Fall 2021 OpenCase Competition on December 03, 2021.

The Grand Winners of the Competition are Team Leader Gian Francis Serrano, Angelica Mae Nailes, Janna Lyn Bajamundi, and Shann Paulo Garcia who crafted a proposal for Genuino’s USA Go-To-Market Roadmap.

Genuino, an early-stage Italian start-up company, focuses on Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) and its unique physical asset blockchain protocol for collectibles. The business aims to link NFTs and physical trading, leverage their blockchain certification technology and build a community within the sports, music, art, and fashion industry. It envisions creating and sustaining a formidable point of engagement with collectors from various points of interest such as athletes, teams, artists, musicians, fashion designers, and their fans.

 Chairperson Prof. Ednel Datu led the Business Consulting Team of Holy Angel University along with the group’s adviser Prof. Michelle Estrella.

Twenty-four business groups of nineteen different schools from five countries have participated in the international competition organized by CapSource, in Collaboration with Genuino and the International Accreditation Council for Business Education (IACBE). Each team was tasked to create a five-page Executive Memo and a Video presentation on Genuino's Go-To-Market strategy to penetrate the USA NFT Market. The judging criteria for the paper consist of argument, case feasibility, company feasibility, research & support, structure, creativity, and professionalism. Criteria for the Presentation or Video Pitch cover effectiveness, clarity, succinctness, professionalism, and consistency.
