CCJEF recognized the academic achievers for the 1st Semester of the Academic Year 2022-2023 last Friday, February 17, 2023, at HAU University Theatre.
The event formally started with an opening remarks by the Dean,  Dr. Niño M. Kabiling. He said, "It is an incredible accomplishment to have achieved a high level of success in academics. You have worked diligently and deserve every bit of recognition you get. Your success inspires others who are still struggling to reach their goals. You have shown that anything is possible with hard work and determination."
An inspirational message from the OIC, University President Mr. Leopoldo Jaime Nepomuceno Valdes accentuated the students' efforts.  "You should put your achievements into perspective. Your goal is excellence, not perfection. Getting to the Dean's and President's lists is a measure of academic excellence." He also congratulated students who tried to be better than the day before.
Mr. Eduard Dimalanta, CCJEF Practicum Coordinator, read the qualifications for Dean's Lister and President's Lister, followed by the awarding of Certificates of Academic Excellence to qualified academic achievers.
Ms. Edlyn Clarivel Lansangan, a 3rd Year Forensic Science student delivered her message as a representative of the awardees; she conveyed a message that acknowledged her co-awardees' success, "There were many instances that we were all challenged and tested. Studying takes work. It takes a lot of resilience, energy, and discipline, so pat yourself on the back for striving harder and enduring those hurdles."
The event was formally ended by Mr. Emanuel Manahan, Program Coordinator of Criminology, who highlighted the merit of the student's efforts.
