Renowned International Forensic Science Expert Visits HAU

College of Criminal Justice Education and Forensics

In a bid to further advance the study and practice of forensic science and criminal justice, a prominent international forensic expert gave a workshop to CCJEF faculty and students on April 12, 2023; Dr. Ranjeet Singh, a world-renowned forensic expert, founder, and Director of the Sherlock Institute of Forensic Science (SIFS), India.

Dr. Singh is an acclaimed forensic expert with over 20 years of experience in the field. He has worked with law enforcement agencies and government bodies in solving complex crimes and identifying perpetrators through forensic evidence. He has also authored several books and research papers on forensic science.

Dr. Singh led the workshop on the current trends and innovations in Fingerprint Examination, Questioned Document Examination, and Crime Scene Investigation. 

He met some administrators, VP for Student Services, Mr. Robert P. Tantinco, OIC-VP for Academic Affairs, Dr. Al D. Biag, VP for Organizational Development and Assistant to the President, Ms. Edna Marizza C. Santos, and Dr. Niño M. Kabiling, Dean CCJEF. 

 

Dr. Singh then toured the CCJEF’s Forensic Chemistry, Forensic Biology, Digital Forensics, Crime Scene Simulation Room, Moot Court, Fingerprint, and Questioned Document Lab. He was impressed with the quality of various forensic laboratories at par with international standards and the faculty members' dedication to providing the students with the best forensic and criminal justice education.

CCJEF and SIFS, India’s partnership, started in 2021 by signing an MoU. The partnership has already produced and co-organized various forensic conferences, lecture series, research, training, and educational innovation.  The CCJEF is committed to creating a world-class forensic science program that produces graduates equipped with the latest knowledge and techniques in forensic science.
