CCJEF holds Epaulette & Uniform Ceremony Online
College of Criminal Justice Education and Forensics
December 31, 1899
It has been the tradition of the College of Criminal Justice Education and Forensics (CCJEF) to hold its annual Epaulette Ceremony, as a ritual of the college that indicates its students’ elevation to a new year level. It is a segno of maturity in all forms, new and heavier responsibilities to carry, and most of all, it signifies that those who are donned with the most stripes are nearer to the finish line—graduation. The Epaulette Ceremony of the CCJEF is not conducted out of mere vanity and does not intend to boast the students’ uniform and its paraphernalia, but rather the aims to solemnize the students’ endeavors of becoming future Criminologists and Forensic Scientists.
Another first in the college, CCJEF held its first Virtual Epaulette and Uniform Ceremony via Zoom on February 13, 2021. The ceremony was attended by the enthusiastic students with their proud and hopeful parents. The ceremony was formally started by the CCJEF Dean, Dr. Niño M. Kabiling. He delivered his warm welcome to everyone gathered for the ceremony and left a few valuable words “if you have the ability to do something, make sure that you do it for the good of others. Your uniform is part of your identity and it gives a sense of belonging. I hope that you will take pride in wearing it” as emphasized by Dr. Kabiling.
The Assistant Academic Vice President and Assistant to the President of Holy Angel University, Ms. Edna Marriza C. Santos delivered her message of inspiration. Ms. Santos shared her bliss to CCJEF students, describing that whenever she sees CCJEF students walking by the pasillo of the university, she feels so proud and exuberant with it. She also praised the college for its substantial achievements not only for this scholastic year, but also for the achievement garnered by the college in the distant past. “You are one of the youngest programs of the university, yet you are doing great and most of all, you make Holy Angel University proud!” Ms. Santos emphasized. Her inspirational remarks are inspiring, and it served as a morale booster for the college administration and the students.
Proceeding to the ceremony, amplification of the symbols of the uniform was led by Mr. Felipe Bantiyan, faculty of CCJEF. His explanation is concise, yet decisive. Subsequently, the donning of stripes followed. All student from various year levels and sections waited, anticipating their names to be called. From first year to third year, all watched and waited with a steady eye.
Mr. AJ Jimenez, CCJEF Program Coordinator formally closed the event by expressing his deep appreciation to everyone who participated and supported for the success of the ceremony.
