CCJEF Hosts Benchmarking Visit from First City Providential College

The College of Criminal Justice Education and Forensics (CCJEF) hosted a delegation from First City Providential College (FCPC) for a benchmarking visit focused on the B.S. Criminology program on July 30, 2024. The event provided a valuable opportunity to share insights and best practices in criminal justice education.
Led by Dr. Alicia Segundo, the FCPC delegation received a warm welcome from CCJEF administrators led by Dean Dr. Niño M. Kabiling. The visit commenced with an engaging presentation by Dean Kabiling, who presented CCJEF's innovative teaching methodologies, research projects, and impactful community extension initiatives.
The benchmarking visit highlighted a comprehensive tour of CCJEF's different state-of-the-art forensic laboratories, such as the Forensic DNA and Trace Evidence Laboratory, Crime Scene Simulation Laboratory, and the Cyber Range Forensic Laboratory. FCPC faculty and administrators were impressed by the laboratory's advanced equipment and capabilities, which provide students with hands-on experience in forensic investigation techniques.
In addition to the academic exchange, the FCPC delegation paid a courtesy call to the HAU OIC-University President, Mr. Leopoldo Jaime N. Valdes, and Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Al D. Biag. The benchmarking visit concluded with a dynamic brainstorming session, during which representatives from both colleges explored collaborative opportunities.
