University Pastoral Council

In order to carry out the Campus Ministry functions, the Campus Ministry Office (CMO) has its consultative and coordinating body known as the University Pastoral Council (UPC). It is composed of the representatives recommended by their respective unit heads:

Duties and Responsibilities of the UPC Members

  1. Attend monthly meetings and other meetings called upon by the CMO, in coordination with the UPC officers;
  2. Coordinates with their respective colleges or departments all the things taken up during meetings with the CMO;
  3. Gather suggestions from their respective colleges or departments for a meaningful religious and spiritual activities;
  4. Coordinate with the CMO concerning First Friday Masses in terms of ministerial assignments during Mass.
  5. Refer students and other members of the University for the reception of the Sacrament of Reconciliation, spiritual counseling, and vocation discernment.
  6. Perform other pastoral duties agreed upon during meetings with CMO.

The Campus Youth Ministry

The Campus Youth Ministry (CYM) is the student-arm of the Campus Ministry Office responsible for the proper coordination and implementation of the CMO activities. Under the supervision of the Moderator and the University Chaplain, the CYM becomes a vital support, together with the UPC, in the spiritual and pastoral formation of the University community.

The Duties and Responsibilities of the Campus Youth Ministry Members

  1. Through the leadership of the officers, CYM members are to attend meetings and assemblies called upon by the CMO;
  2. Participate in the CMO spiritual and pastoral activities;
  3. Encourage fellow Angelites to participate in the CMO activities;
  4. Refer fellow students to the CMO on matters of the sacrament of Reconciliation, spiritual counseling, vocation discernment or appointment with the University Chaplain.
