Scholarships for High School Freshmen

Entrance Scholarships

  1. The top 10 SPED graduates from Angeles Elementary School and Sto. Rosario Elementary School, the tuition fee discount and free books is good for one school year only.
  2. Juan D. Nepomuceno (JDN) Scholarship. Given to valedictorian graduates from elementary schools within Angeles City with at least ten (10) graduates will enjoy 100% tuition fee discount with free books for one year. Also given to valedictorian graduates from elementary schools outside Angeles City with at least 10 graduates will enjoy 100% tuition discount for one year.
  3. Archbishop Pedro Santos Scholarship (APS). Given to salutatorian graduates from schools with at least twenty (20) graduates will enjoy 50% tuition fee discount for one year.


Students who will be awarded as the best in each learning area will be entitled to a free book for the next school year.

SPED Scholarships

100% discount on tuition fees with free books is granted to the Top 10 graduates of the SPED Class of Angeles Elementary School and Sto. Rosario Elementary School. The scholarship is good for one school year


  1. A certification from the Principal attesting his/her academic standing and good moral character.
  2. A Certificate of Recognition specifying his/her rank.
  3. A Graduation Program
  4. Must have passed the Entrance Test

HONORS' Class Scholarships

The scholarship program for incoming freshmen should be based on the following criteria:

  1. The applicant should belong to the upper 10% of the graduating batch.
  2. He/she must have a grade of 82% and above for Science, Math and English; and a grade of 80% and above in other learning areas.
  3. He/she must have a conduct grade of at least 85%.

The selection process will be based on the Entrance Test result and the criteria stated above, provided the applicant has filed a scholarship application at the Scholarships and Grants Office.

For the succeeding years, the scholars will be subjected to the retention policies as follows:

  1. The student must maintain a grade of at least 85% or higher in Science, Math and English.
  2. The student must have at least a grade of 85% in conduct.
  3. The student must not incur a grade lower than 80% in any learning areas from first grading until the final grading period.
  4. The student must not incur any grade below 80% in any organization he/she is affiliated to.

Students who qualify to the above stated criteria will be ranked and the top 45 will be considered for the scholarship program for the next year level.

Sports Scholarships

A 100% tuition discount with uniform will be awarded to those who will qualify the try-outs with respective coaches for the following teams for boys and girls:

  1. Athletics
  2. Badminton
  3. Basketball
  4. Chess
  5. Lawn Tennis
  6. Swimming
  7. Table Tennis
  8. Taekwondo
  9. Volleyball

Grant-in-Aid Scholarships

A 100% tuition discount is extended to financially disadvantaged but deserving students, who may pass the selection process which will be conducted by a committee, as Room Cleaners.

PTA Scholarships

A Student Education Scholarship Grant of 50% discount on tuition fee is granted to financially disadvantaged but deserving students provided they meet the following conditions:

  1. They have a general average of 85% for incoming freshmen and 82 for upper year levels and without failing grade in any subjects.
  2. The applicant and the parent/guardian must be of good moral standing.
  3. They must have passed the preliminary and final interview to be conducted by a committee.

Education Service Contracting (ESC)

ESC is aimed at democratizing and improving access to quality secondary education through government extension of financial assistance to deserving elementary school graduates who wish to pursue their secondary education in private schools. The amount of subsidy is Six Thousand Five Hundred Pesos (P6,500.00) per grantee for the entire school year.

The following guidelines shall apply:

  1. The grant covers the four (4) years of secondary education from Grade 7 to Grade 10. No new grants shall apply at higher year levels.
  2. The grant is deemed renewed for the next school year provided the student is promoted to the next year level and enrolls in the same school. Since ESC is a system of financial assistance to the grantees, no maintaining grade shall be required for retention in the program.
  3. The grant is deemed terminated for any one of the following reasons
    • If the student drops out for non-health reasons in the middle of the school year.
    • If the student has not applied for an official leave and does not re-enroll the following year.
    • If the student is retained at the same year level or otherwise not promoted to the next higher year level
    • If the student is suspended for more than 2 weeks or dismissed or expelled by the school for disciplinary violations.
    • If the student transfers to a non-ESC participating school.
  4. For reasons of force majeure, a grantee may be allowed to continue enjoying the grant.
  5. All efforts must be taken to save the grantee from dropping out. Grantees-at-risk of dropping out may be placed in the Open High School program and provided with appropriate intervention to address the causes of dropping out.
  6. A grantee may apply for transfer to another ESC participating school.
  7. Transfers from outside the National Capital Region (NCR) into NCR are not allowed. Transfers from NCR to participating schools outside the NCR may be allowed but the amount of the grant is reduced accordingly

Students enjoying any of the scholarships offered and/or vying for honors are required to be morally upright, loyal, compliant to school rules and regulations, manifest other qualities becoming of a model student. All the other conditions stipulated in the university guidelines for scholarships signed by both student and the parent must be satisfied.
