These extraordinary times—caused by the global COVID pandemic—are changing the way we live our lives, how we do things at home, at work, and in schools. These major changes are paving the way to a NEW NORMAL, and it is imperative that we make these new ways, new processes and approaches work.
To this NEW NORMAL, Holy Angel University pledges its NEW COMMITMENT…to make online education work for you—if not as effective as regular face-to-face learning, and as enjoyable.
Just look at these new breakthrough learning tools, resources, funding support and student relief packages that we have lined up, so you can reap the full benefits of on-line education.
Your school has invested on Canvas, which streamlines all the digital tools and content that teachers and students love, for a simpler and more connected learning experience.
Imagine, textbooks, worksheets and major printed material have all now been digitized and available for access on the web. Our faculty members have been working hard to shift their classroom-based materials and fit these into the online format of instruction.
For our faculty to become well-versed in the use of the online learning technology, they have undergone intensive training to be able to manage and facilitate instruction for distance learning, and be able to teach with the superior quality education that every student deserves.
More than ever, HAU understands that the crisis has brought forth the increased needs that our students and their families are facing. We are continuously extending scholarships and grants programs to qualified students so they can proceed with enrollment despite the financial challenges. Visit the official Facebook page of the HAU Scholarships and Grants for more information: https://www.facebook.com/HolyAngel1933USGO/
While not all students may have the sufficient gadget to proceed with online learning, a total of 1,000 tablets will be made available for students to borrow for a period of up to 12 months, and are renewable upon request by students needing gadget assistance. Interested students may apply through the Scholarships and Grants Office by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
In support of students who are in need of financial or in-kind aid, HAU has recently launched H@UweCONNECT—a donation drive to help students get connected to online education. Students who are in need will be provided FREE gadget, load, and connectivity for 1 school year through our partnership with Globe and Smart, as well as from the donations of alumni, employees and friends of HAU. Inquiries may be coursed through HAUweConnect@hau.edu.ph.
It will take a lot of learning curves before a student gets fluent in the use of the platforms for online learning. Our technical team will keep their lines open to make sure that online students who will encounter troubles while navigating the system will be assisted and provided due support.
Students are not exempted from getting the stress and anxiety caused by the crisis, among many factors. Which is why, our HAU Guidance Counselors are shifting to digital to accommodate the psychological and emotional issues that our students may face during the COVID-19 pandemic. Directions for the online guidance counseling can be found here: https://bit.ly/HAUGuidanceCounselors
Because of the possible adverse impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the affordability of HAU education, we have recently launched the Student Economic Relief Package for our continuing students who are lacking sufficient funds to proceed with enrollment. This includes not collecting some miscellaneous fees; allowing continuing students without back accounts to enroll with a minimum of P3,000; and allowing continuing students with back accounts to enroll through a minimum fee with a promissory note. More information about this can be read on https://bit.ly/StudentRelief20-21.
Since enrollment is done online, we are assisting students who have troubles with a stable internet connection through the Telephonic Enrollment. We have designated employees for students to call should they need help with the online enrollment.

Communication students-operated Angel Network will soon pave an option for students to continue learning through radio education. Faculty and subject matter experts will be invited to speak on-air to provide insightful and informative learning for every Angelite.
In a satisfaction survey released by the University Student Council (USC) on its evaluation of the University’s online summer classes, it shows the instructors’ preparedness to handle online classes and the students’ overall satisfaction with the University’s online instruction. The School of Engineering and Architecture (SEA) also conducted a survey on its own online summer classes, which validated the findings of the USC survey and observation.
The University will work to ensure that even while you are experiencing HAU only online, you will still have a memorable year through the online versions of extra-curricular activities and student services. If and when you will be given limited access to campus under the blended phase of the school year, we will ensure that you will have downsized, socially distanced activities and services to give you the holistic experience that is the hallmark of the HAU quality education.
While the pandemic has put a hold on in-person education, you can still turn to Holy Angel’s online education to pursue your course… grow your current knowledge and skills… and make your best moments here!
