Library Services

Readers' Services

 Assistance, advice and other services are extended to the library users by  recommending specific titles on the part of the librarian.






Circulation Services

  • Circulation / Reserve

     Books recommended by faculty as the required reading references (textbooks)  of students for their respective courses are housed within the Circulation  counter. Closed shelf system is practiced in this area.





  • Filipiniana

     Materials about the Philippines regardless of authorship and imprint; works  written by Filipinos; and, materials written in Filipino language are housed at  the Filipiniana Section.





  • Periodicals

     This section houses and facilitates the use of different kinds of periodicals  available in the Library, both local and foreign in print and CD-ROM/DVD-ROM  formats.

     For easy access and reading, daily newspapers and other popular magazines  are segregated from the professional journals. Professional journals cater to  the research needs of library patrons and address the needs of the different programs of the University.

Audio Visual Services

 Assistance provided to library users in their use of audio-visual materials such as  DVDs, VCDs, tapes and the like.






Research Reference Services

 Personal assistance provided by the library staff in helping library users to become  self-directed and independent learners in the use of library materials.



Internet and Multimedia Services

 Services extended to library users in their pursuit of information using non print  materials and the World Wide Web.






Technical Services

 Materials being acquired are being organized, cataloged and maintained in order to  meet the needs of the library users that promote efficient retrieval and use.






Current Awareness Services

 Services concerned with the preparation of lists of newly acquired and processed  books by the Library which is disseminated to the academic departments for their  information.





Bibliographic Services

 Prepared lists of information for print and non print resources on specified topics by  request.






Printing and Photo duplication

 Printing and scanning services are also available to all library users for certain fees  upon request.






Bibliographic Instruction / Library Orientation (Intranet)

  • Orientation for Students (Undergrad and Graduate Students)

     The library orientation is usually rendered during the first month of the first  semester to college freshmen. Basic information about the library rules,  sections, facilities, collections, personnel and services are shared to the new  students.





  • Orientation on the full utilization of e-resources (e-journals and e-books)

     The library orientation is usually rendered during the first month of the first  semester to college freshmen.

Community Services (Extension Services)

 Assistance is rendered on how to properly organize public libraries in  coordination with the Office of Community and Extension Services (OCES).
