Student Government

The University recognizes the importance of developing creative and responsible student leaders who will eventually assume the mantle of leadership in their chosen field of endeavor. As such, the High School Supreme Student Council (HSSSC) was organized as the highest governing student body which is composed of the officers duly elected by the high school studentry in a general election.

The second highest governing student body is the Year Level Council which is composed of the year level representatives.

The Class Officers (CO) is the governing body of a particular class / section.

Functions of the HSSSC Officers

President

supervises HSSSC activities
presides over HSSSC meetings
submits a summary of the HSSSC activities during his/her incumbency
serves as representative in matters involving students
coordinates with the Activity Coordinators concerning the HSSSC activities

Vice President

takes charge of HSSSC internal and external affairs
coordinates with the HSSSC president in the supervision of activities
takes the place of the HSSSC president in case of the latter's absence

Secretary

takes minutes of the HSSSC meetings
writes the necessary announcements on bulletin boards
submits a monthly report of the activities of the HSSSC

Treasurer

collects all contributions/donations for the student body
presents a monthly financial statement
handles the finances of the HSSSC

Functions of the Year Level Council Officers

President

presides over class meetings
takes charge of the class discipline if the teacher is out/absent
helps the adviser in maintaining discipline during the flag ceremonies and co-curricular activities
motivates the class to participate in class and school activities
informs the class of the schedule of activities

Vice President

takes the place of the class president in case of the latter's absence
checks and reports to the HSCO all those not wearing the prescribed uniform
sees to it that no member of the class remains inside the classroom during Holy Mass and school program
sees to it that all members of the class form their line before entering the classroom and in going to the venues designated for school activities

Secretary

checks the attendance of the class every period
writes important announcements on the board

Treasurer

collects/solicits contribution from the members of the class as authorized by the Principal
presents to the class adviser an accounting of the financial condition of the class

PRO

collects reply slips
reminds the class of the schedule of activities
takes charge of maintaining the cleanliness of the classroom (blackboard, eraser, etc.)
