| Qualified Applicants |
- For research load credit, the faculty-researcher must have a full-time teaching status and should not hold any position with equivalent deloading privileges.
- For cash incentive, faculty researcher/s with a full-time teaching status and academic support staff and non-teaching personnel may apply.
- Part-time faculty may apply for a research cash incentive grant but the approval shall be subject to the nature of the research proposed and to the availability of funds.

Research Proposals must follow strictly the American Psychological Society (APA) Journal Format.

| Research Time Limit |
- The research must be completed within the approved time frame, usually one (1) semester for a simple research and one (1) school year for a complex research;
- If the faculty has not yet finished the said research within the approved time frame, the faculty can request in writing an extension of one (1) semester to complete the said research.
- If the academic support and/or non-teaching staff or administrator has not yet finished the said research within the approved time frame, he/she can request in writing an extension of not more than five (5) months to complete the said research.

| Deadline for Submission of Research Proposal |
- Deadline for submission of the research proposal and other required documents for those applying for load credit must be made one (1) month prior to the start of the semester where the deloading shall be implemented.
- Submission of Research Proposal for cash incentive is allowed year round, that is, the faculty or ASS/NTP researcher(s) may submit the research proposal at any time of the year.

| Assigning of Cash Incentive/Load Credit |
- The Institutional Planning, Research and Publications Office will request the University Research Council to evaluate the proposal and recommend the appropriate/equitable cash incentive or load credit for the approval of the University President.
