| The challenge faced by higher educational institutions (HEIs) in their bid for accreditation and autonomy has always been to provide evidence of successful work in research aside from instruction and community extension. |
| The increasingly heavier weights assigned to research has propelled HAU administrators to embark on an aggressive institutional research program towards encouraging more and more faculty members and academic non-teaching personnel to do university-commissioned and/or externally-linked researches. To make it worth their effort, research proponent/s may be granted incentives in the form of deloading or cash honoraria, aside from logistical support. Moreover, faculty/personnel evaluations, as well as ranking schemes, were revisited to give more weight to accomplishments in the field of research. |

We are still accepting applications for availment of the Research Cash Incentive Program.
