SBA studes conduct 2nd year of fundraising for ‘Share-A-Meal’

A class of third year BS Accountancy students from the School of Business and Accountancy has successfully conducted their Marketing Bazaar last September 16, where proceeds were donated to the University’s “Share-A-Meal” project. The fundraising event was organized at Jenra Mall, Angeles City as a final requirement for the Principles of Marketing (XPRIMAR) subject for the first semester of School Year 2017-2018.

Mr. Byron John Siy, instructor of the group who also initiated the activity said “the program aims to incorporate real-life application of theories learning in class and also to support the University’s ‘Share-A-Meal’ campaign”. Mr. Siy's classes, A-331 and A-333, were able to generate Php 138,000 in totality exceeding last year's Php 136,000 in the span of six weeks from their small food businesses.

During their turn-over ceremony on September 31, Php 50,000 was entrusted to Ms. Norma Bulaclac, Head of the University Guidance Center, and Mrs. Iris Ann Castro, Head of Student Affairs Office, with the presence of Ms. Edna Marriza C. Santos, Assistant to the President.

The remaining amount of the proceeds was used for other respective charitable activities of the two classes.

“Share-A-Meal” is an advocacy of the Office of Student Services and Affairs where students who couldn’t afford to buy their meals are financially supported through cash donations.
