History
The Campus Ministry Office of Holy Angel University existed since 1986. It was initiated by S. Josefina G. Nepomuceno, OSB, the former University President, and ably assisted by Sr. Andrea Collantes, OSB, the Values Education Consultant. There were 20 Campus Ministers distributed equally in the High School and College Departments and two Chaplains from the Society of the Divine Word. The program was in close coordination with the Guidance Office of the two departments where Campus Ministers share the same office with the guidance services. The College Campus ministers handled Values Education subjects and the High School Campus Ministers handled Homeroom classes.
In 1988, the University Pastoral Council (UPC) was created. It was composed of representatives from the different departments. With its constitution and by-laws, the UPC was in-charge of planning and implementation of Campus Ministry activities. In the year 2000, the UPC was revived and renamed as the Campus Ministry Council. The reorganization was a move to make the ministry more campus-based, focusing on the spiritual upliftment of students and employees.
With the presence of chaplains, the CMO is in close coordination with the Archdiocese of Pampanga. The following chaplains were assigned by the Archdiocese of San Fernando to shepherd the HAU community.
Rev. Fr. Andronico Pahed Jr., SPC 1988-1993

After a number of restructuring, the CMO is now staffed with a Campus Ministry Director/University Chaplain, a Formation Coordinator and a Religious Activities Coordinator. Its facilities are the University Chapel, MGN Conference Room and the Prayer Room (where the Blessed Sacrament is exposed for intimate and personal prayer of HAU personnel and students) all housed at the Mamerto G. Nepomuceno building. The Oratory of Mary, Queen of Angels is used by the Elementary Laboratory School and is housed at Ground Floor of SC building.
The CMO's existence is to carry out the Catholic Mission statement with the help of the ELS Christian Living Department, the High School Values Education Department, the Theology - Philosophy Department, and the Youth Ministry Organization.
