An invitation from the Archbishop of San Fernando and Chairman of the HAU Board of Trustees

My dear brothers and sisters in the Lord:

Holy Angel University as a Catholic institution integrates the faith into the fabric of its Vision and Mission. Everyday is marked by prayer and study. The Angelus is recited by the whole student community and each class begins and ends with a prayer to the Holy Spirit.

The University attains its liturgical mission by providing a locus of prayer and worship where the academic community gathers together to celebrate the Eucharist, the center of intellectual life. Through the Eucharist, God takes delight in his people (Ps. 149:4).

This locus of prayer is the Holy Guardian Angel University Chapel which is now in its initial stage of the construction. The Chapel is the sacred ground (Exodus 3:5) where the busy administrators, faculty, students and personnel seek oneness with the Eucharistic Lord in His total self-giving love and humble service to the sinners and the poor.

A Thousand Angels

A campaign to raise P10 million for the completion of the interior of the Chapel of the Guardian Angel by tapping 1,000 alumni donors. The target is to raise Php 10 million in 10 months using 5 giving avenues and tapping 1,000 alumni donors Donors will be included in the memory wall of the chapel. A simple way of expressing our gratitude.

P10 million to raise

A Thousand Angels aims to raise 10 million pesos dedicated to the chapel’s interior to complement funds already raised for the chapel’s exterior features.

10 months to complete

The project hopes to raise the target amount within a 10-month period from March to December, 2009 in time for the alumni homecoming. Since the timetable for major construction is set to end by October, it is important to raise a substantial amount in the soonest possible time.

5 ways to give

To raise 10 million pesos, individual alumni and networks can choose from the following options of giving:

500 donors to donate P 1,000 each.
200 donors to donate P 2,500 each.
150 donors to donate P 10,000 each.
100 donors to donate P 25,000 each.
50 donors to donate P 100,000 each.

HOW TO HELP

Alumni can help in any or a combination of 3 ways:

as donors,
as solicitors either from fellow alumni, friends, relatives, contacts; and
as organizers fundraising events (for the P100,000 level)

All alumni and their network of relatives, friends, contacts can participate.

Everyone has something to give.
