Vision

The Physical Education Department of Holy Angel University aims to respond to the needs of the Physical Education, Sports, Music, Culture, Arts, and Recreation Programs to attain regional and national developmental goals.

It is envisioned that the Department will become a vital academic group of the University that will provide professional and technical expertise in the areas of Physical Education, Sports, Dance, Music, and Recreation in the region.

Mission Statement

In recognition and response to Article XIV, Section 19 of the Philippine Constitution, which states that the state shall promote physical education, and encourage sports programs, leagues, competitive sports… and to R.A. 4723, Section 1, known as the Music Education Law, stressing the need for the teaching of Music as a separate subject area in all grades in the elementary and secondary schools, whether private or public, the Department of Physical Education of Holy Angel University will provide highly proficient graduates whose competencies shall be focused not only in classroom teaching but also on sports coaching and officiating. The graduates are, likewise, trained to be Sports Analysts; Recreational Leaders; Dance and Choir Trainers; Choreographers; and Consultants in Physical Education, Sports, Recreation, Music, and the Performing Arts.

The Department provides programs that will develop human values through sports, dance and music. It also provides students with ample opportunities to develop themselves into highly skilled professionals, with a deep sense of ethical and spiritual values committed to the preservation and promotion of indigenous culture.
